Before submitting an application, applicants are advised to read carefully the pre-course information on the Faculty website (www.fsrh.org, go to Training, Diploma), https://www.fsrh.org/documents/c5-traineeguidelines/
All applicants must have completed the e-learning modules and practical requirements prior to the course and arranged for practical training through a local General Training Programme Director. Contacts for GTPD’s are to be found on the website by logging into your account.
We strongly advise that the Course of 5 be undertaken whilst you are in a clinical practice post undertaking the equivalent of at least 15 SRH consultations a week and are able to put the learning into practice with patients. Doctors in ST2 year are advised to consider if they will obtain sufficient contact with SRH patients or be able to organise clinical attachments before applying to this course.
Following the 5 hour course, if you work locally in Birmingham or Solihull, then we will be pleased to offer you a placement for practical training. This may also be an option for those outside the area.
If you have queries about the DFSRH then please refer to the Faculty website. Alternatively, if you have a specific question for which you cannot find an answer, then please contact Dr Nyholm by e mail: Liz@nyholms.com or Shahima Bibi by e mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively please contact Shahima Bibi in our Administration Team 0121 766 2132.
