Badger (Birmingham and District General Practitioner Emergency Room) is a not-for-profit social enterprise healthcare co-operative.
If you are unwell and your GP Practice is closed, we can help. We provide a GP Out-of-Hours service throughout Birmingham and Solihull from 18:30 until 08:00 Monday to Friday, 24 hours over the weekend and all public holidays.
We also run NHS Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) during the day for minor illnesses, which do not require you to attend A&E. This service is provided at Solihull UTC and Erdington Stockland Green UTC.
To use any of our services, please call NHS 111, who will assess your case and direct you to the right NHS service, which may include Badger. If NHS 111 refer you to our services, your case will be transferred to us automatically and one of our staff will contact you. You do not need to contact us directly.

“Very informative, kind, empathetic. Made things a lot easier. My son felt at ease.”
“Everyone really cares; even a nurse leaving to go home was more than willing to help me. The follow-up was second to none, and they should be proud of that. Keep up the great work; it’s my first time using the service, and it has opened my eyes to how efficient the service is.”
“The care and treatment I received, along with my son, was amazing. Lovely and warm staff!”
“Totally impressed by the efficiency of the booking process, the atmosphere at the clinic, and the excellent care and concern from different members of staff. Thank you.”
