Who we are
Badger is a healthcare provider, established in 1996 by a group of local doctors in Birmingham and Solihull. Working in collaboration with local NHS trusts, our mission has always been to deliver care you can trust. Today, Badger serves a population of 1.6 million people of all ages across Birmingham and Solihull. We are rated ‘Good’ by the Quality Care Commission (CQC) across all five areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
What services do we provide?
We deliver a GP Out-of-Hours (OOH) service, which provides advice and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during hours when their GP Practice is closed. The GP OOH service is available:
Monday to Friday 6.30pm until 8am.
24 hours over Saturday and Sunday.
Public holidays, including Easter, Christmas and New Year.
For more information on how and when to access the service, please visit our dedicated Services page.
In addition, we also offer patients throughout Birmingham and Solihull urgent care through our Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC). These are open in daytime hours and during the evenings for booked appointments only. For more information on where our UTCs are located, opening times, and what services are provided, please visit our Services page.
We are always striving to be innovative and improve the way patients access our services. Our drive-thru healthcare site in Bourne Road, Aston is the first of its kind. It was developed as a response during the coronavirus pandemic to provide face-to-face consultations safely, and now provides patients with a choice of access.
