OUT-OF-HOURS GP SERVICE
GP OUT-OF-HOURS SERVICE
The Badger GP Out-Of-Hours (OOHs) service covers Birmingham and Solihull and provides urgent care and advice to patients who need to speak to a doctor and cannot wait until their GP Practice re-opens. Our clinicians will first assess your needs over the phone and if they think you need to be seen in-person you may be invited to attend one of our Urgent Treatment Centres.
Badger operates at the following times:
Monday to Friday 6.30pm until 8am.
24 hours over Saturday and Sunday.
Public holidays, including Easter, Christmas and New Year.
How to contact Badger
Patients wishing to access the service should either:
1. Call NHS 111 by dialling 1-1-1 directly. NHS 111 is a free number and available 24/7 when you have an urgent healthcare need. They will direct you to the most appropriate service, which may be to transfer you to our call centre.
2. Call your local GP Practice. If your GP Practice is closed and is a member practice, they will leave a message on their answerphone service with instructions of how to contact Badger, or will automatically divert the call directly to our call centre.
